At Circlworks® we draw inspiration from our materials and the endless possibilities found in the patterns, colors, and textures we see in the natural world around us.

COLOR IN FORM

Form, movement, and the element of chance are the basic ingredients of our design process. Whether we tie, dip, paint, or remove color, no two designs in our collections are identical; each is unique and special. We can’t predict how separate pieces will come together in their three-dimensional state once sewn together. Charting the unknown and embracing surprises is what excites our creative team and keeps us going.

CELEBRATING THE SLOW MOVEMENT WITH THE ART OF HAND-CRAFTING

At Circlworks®, we use many different hand-crafting traditions to bring our collections to life.

For Instance, we use Shibori techniques to tie, twist, and pleat our fabrics. These are then dipped, re-tied, and over-dyed repeatedly to create layers of color that can be assembled into collections for production.

INSPIRED BY NATURE

In our carefully curated collections, we strive to fully understand the complexity and nuances of the natural dye process and the infinite variety of colors that can emerge from one dye bath to the next.

Bringing together science and art in harmony, this unique process allows for endless exploration, continual discovery, and creative experimentation. The Intricate patterns that result create rich color narratives that can be expanded upon to influence the mood of a room or evoke cherished memories tied to specific colors and experiences.
